About this Hub
Our newly opened Community Hub is thriving! An enthusiastic group of up to 12 women are coming together to learn English, make friends and gain confidence. The motto for the class is ‘be brave and have a go’. The participants feel safe and respected and ‘love their English teacher’. The Hub is a natural extension of the diverse and welcoming school community of 550 students from many cultural backgrounds. St Augustine’s is not just about inclusion but we try to develop a deep understanding of our different stories and experiences. In the Hub we plan to grow food together, share coffee, meals and ideas, sew, create and establish an environment where everyone develops relationships and skills that will open doors to a positive future.
