Settling Softly videos

Produced by Western Sydney University, Settling Softly is a series of seven video ‘pods’ featuring key insights from the hub network and other school facilitators. The pods form part of the university’s research from their Knowledge Translation to Support Early Learning of Refugee Children and their families report which you can read here.

One of the central ideas that emerged across the research was that a ‘soft’ entry point – where newcomers could feel safe, supported and learn about their new home – was critical to successful settlement. The pods are a great resource for anyone starting a new hub, as well as being a useful reference point for those already working in the network.
